Kyle Gets Cheritable Part II

So I got cheritable again. Who would've known. Actually it was mostly my parents, who hosted a massive cherity event for the American Cancer Association called the Cattle Baron's Ball, which wound up raising over $1 million. It was set at the Michigan state fair grounds, and contained three rooms of activities (mechanical bull, race car track) and a sampling of food from around the metro area (mmmmm, damn tasty). Also free drinks, which I exploited to no end. The MC for the evening was detroit news personality Devin Scillian, who also played a bit of guitar for the audience (he's good actually). Later in the evening, after I drank some whisky and strained my body on the mechanical bull, they held an auction to raise money. People weren't spending as much as expected, probably owing to the economy and all....but a Ford GT went for twice its value and two dinners with my parents actually went for silly amounts of money. That's some lobying. Damn right. After that was a show by Toby Keith, who was surprisingly entertaining. We were all sprayed with red, white and blue confetti streamers, needles to day. We met him in his trailer after the show. He's a big dude. Bit of a beer-bloat going on. He seemed high and gave us an odd, semi-funny monologue about a dog he works with and how he doesn't smoke anymore. Cigarettes that is, ha ha.

A country evening all in all. Go America! Dee has the heel pain from her boots to prove it.
