Kyle gets vocal

Last night I sang some Journey and drank a lot. Next week will be Neil Diamond--Forever in Blue Jeans. Karaoke means "Empty Orchestra" in Japanese. So you know.

It was at a pretty cool new bar in Ann Arbor called the circus. It's a loft style bar with a circus theme and a cool atmosphere. Free popcorn too.

I'm back to having red hair. Love me?

I've taken to carrying around far too many medications. Yes it's allergy season and all, but that really no excuse. Here's what I have in my backpack right now:

Asthma Inhaler * Gaviscon * Pepto Bismol * Chapstick * Anti-anxiety meds * Stridex pads * Xyrtec * Centrum vitamins

You see, it all makes sense if you consider the fact that work gets me anxious, which causes stomach problems, which lowers my immune responses, which makes me less able to deal with allergens, which further causes stress, which makes me sweat and clog my skin pores and break out in mouth herpes and have further stomach problems.

Kyle Gets Zapped

Last night I went to Detroit to see Zap Mama. Excellent show; right up my alley. She's some kind of mix between African/hip-hop/soul, her music that is, and she herself is a mix of African and Fench and Belgium. She's also ripped to hell (muscle wise). So, yeah, we have a lot in common. Anyway, the show combined some nice music, some African dance, some DJ skillz, some cool digital sampling, some beatboxing, etc. Myself, I drank three $4 beers, bobbed my head a bit, and one time threw a hand up in the air. After that we went to a bar and played video trivia. At some point during this Steve's car tire was brutally slashed, and of course we didn't figure it out until we were on the highway. That's a Detroit evening for ya: soulful and slashy.
